A contraband search of an inmate holding tank at the Polk County Jail Wednesday resulted in new charges for two inmates who were found in possession of contraband.
James Courtney Pierce, who was released on a jail furlough by the courts last week, was found in possession of methamphetamine and was charged with two felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and prohibited substance in a correctional facility.
His cellmate, Antwain Jabor Franklin, was also found in possession of methamphetamine, as well as marijuana. Franklin was charged with two felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and prohibited substance in a correctional facility.
The search was conducted by the Polk County Sheriff ’s Office narcotics division along with the Polk County Jail division.
