Explosions, games and music helped honor Independence Day and the nation’s birth in Trinity County Thursday and Friday.
Liberty and the Red, White and Blue were on full display, and Thursday in Groveton, the Lions Club offered games, a watermelon eating contest, a tug of war and even a raffle.
Patriotic, country and other music were supplied by Nathan James, Eddie Dyson and Carolina Slim, and vendors offered everything for a hot summer celebration.
In Trinity, despite the threat of a thunderstorm, Friday night saw a grand display of pyrotechnics courtesy of the city of Trinity.
