City of Onalaska to eye rate increase

For sanitation services

The Onalaska City Council will discuss and consider possible action on an addendum to Ordinance No. 362 Piney Woods Sanitation – Live Oak Environmental LLC for a requested rate increase of 6% per month for residential and commercial customers during its regular meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday. If approved, the rate increase would be effective Aug. 1.

Council will discuss and consider action on a resolution adopting an intergovernmental emergency mutual aid agreement between Polk County and the City of Onalaska.

A resolution adopting a memorandum of understanding between Onalaska ISD and the City of Onalaska will be discussed and considered for approval.

Council will also discuss and consider action on a resolution adopting a cyber liability and data breach response interlocal agreement with the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool.

Reports will be presented on behalf of the police department, volunteer fire department, fire marshal/fire inspector, building inspector/code enforcement officer and library.

Other items on the agenda include approval of the minutes, vouchers and financial reports.
