Julia’s Tidbits

Trinity seeing growth in the retail sector

The Trinity Peninsula Chamber of Commerce has held two grand openings in the month of June, and we are excited to welcome new and old businesses to help promote prosperity to our city.

Last weekend was the 1-year anniversary of the Circuit Physical Therapy, and on June 17 was the grand opening of Rock ‘n’ Billie’s Tire and Small Engine Repair at the corner of North Robb Street and Highway 94. Wonderful events. I hope the pictures that I tried to take are good.

• I hope everyone had a Happy Father’s Day and enjoyed the not so hot Sunday. One sibling called to wish his father Happy Father’s Day and he was in Canada. That afternoon he was on his way to Alaska with his wife’s mother and father, and he said it was 54 degrees there. (My green envy worm came out.)

Just when I think we are going to calm down with a normal June, the tropical storms start. Now we must watch out for Alberto and see where he will land. The two longest days of summer will also happen this week.

• Summer exercise classes have started for the athletes of TISD, summer school is in full swing, and the Boys and Girls Club has started their summer programs, guest swimming at Westwood Shores’ facilities are coveted, and Vacation Bible schools are still happening.
