Commission looks to clean house

COLDSPRING — San Jacinto County Commissioners approved providing a means for county departments to go out with the old.

At the Wednesday regular meeting, the Commissioners Court discussed providing Dumpsters for a variety of items that need to be discarded.

The items in question include broken office furniture, file cabinets and air conditioning units and other office equipment that have no inventory tags and are taking up space.

Commissioner Donnie Marrs volunteered, provided a specific date be set, to provide a Dumpster and sort through items.

In other business, the court:

•approved a lot split for 1100 Browders Loop for Laurie McCranor;

•approved renewal of employee benefits with the Texas Association of Counties; and

•approved an interlocal agreement with the city of Coldspring for the use of county departments.
