I started out in college as an electronics major who changed to accounting, who changed to marketing in the insurance industry, and then changed at 28 years old to become a preacher. I have been a preacher so long that I don’t know how to do anything else. Closing in on fifty years as a minister is a sobering thought.
I wish I could say I always listened to my dad. I was usually rebellious, and I wanted to find things out for myself. My sainted mother always said that Dad and I were too much alike. And my grandmother Bellamy concurred, along with saying my dad and I were much like my granddad.
