TRINITY — The Trinity ISD Board of Regents approved several agreements regarding district operations at the May 20 meeting.

Superintendent John Kaufman said that the board approved amendments to the district food services agreement based on requests from the Texas Department of Agriculture, which now requires the district to publish meal prices in the newspaper of record and stipulates the district can’t use FDA-provided food for catering out of the district.

Additionally, the board approved an agreement with the Texas Association of School Boards for fuel, which allows the purchase of fuel at a reduced price.

Kaufman said the district is getting 6,000 gallons of unleaded fuel at $2.72 a gallon, and 20,000 gallons of diesel at $2.83 a gallon.

In a separate matter, the board will attend a summer leadership institute in San Antonio in June for training.
