TRINITY — One man was killed in a fire that broke out in an RV late Monday night.
Fire Chief Keith Johnson said the Trinity Fire Department was called to a structure fire in the Lakewood Subdivision Monday night at approximately 10 p.m.
He said the first unit on scene reported a small camp trailer on fire, and the fire had jumped to a wood-frame structure.
While the three trucks and 21 firefighters responding to the call managed to control the fire quickly and save the residence, Johnson said the camper was heavily damaged.
Once extinguished, a male victim was found dead in the RV. His identity has not been released pending notification of the next of kin.
The fire is under investigation as to the cause, Johnson said.
