Julias Tidbits
Only two more weeks and the 2023-2024 School Term will be over. All the activities will be complete, scholarships given, and seniors that are destined for the next step in their education will be decided. By the time the Trinity Ex-Student Association hosts its yearly reunion on June 8, this class will be history.

I will recount some TISD events that are still happening this week and next, but a lot of activities have been canceled due to flooding and locations are not available or suitable for participation.

May 23 is graduation practice and robing, and the THS Award and Scholarship Night in the Gym from 6-7 p.m.

May 25 is Graduation Day for Trinity High School seniors. The ceremony takes place from 3-4 p.m. at the Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum at Bobby K. Marks Drive in Huntsville.

May 30 is a vaccination clinic at THS Gym from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

On Saturday June 1, the parents of the Trinity High School Girls Softball students are hosting and supporting a co-ed rag ball tournament to help provide equipment, uniforms, etc. Team entry fee is $200. The first game will start at 8 a.m.

All games will be held at the Black Veterans Memorial Park, 103 Stadium St., in downtown Trinity. For more information, call Coach Brandy Hill at (936) 594-3560 or email: [email protected]. The rules and regulations are on Facebook.

The last day of school for TISD is June 6.

Summer School starts June 10.

I will keep repeating the last two weeks of TISD’s 2024 schedule as more changes may occur to the student’s attendance days due to the weather.

•May 27 is Memorial Day.

•The upcoming events for June will be listed as they become available. Due to the unfortunate repairs needed for some event locations, information is pending due to work schedules, resources needed for these repairs, materials needed, local volunteers, and professional workers needed to repair plumbing and electrical damages, as well as Dumpsters for soggy items.

If some events are not listed as last week, please check with each organization as they may have been canceled on other media.
