TRINITY — Trinity Fire Department personnel handled two calls for fires in the last week that left a house and a trailer destroyed.
At around 4:30 a.m. March 14, the department responded to a structure fire in Lake L subdivision.
Fire Chief Keith Johnson said that the first units on the scene found a fully involved house fire that had partially collapsed the roof of the structure and had flames protruding from multiple exposures.
The owner, Lora Logan, was awakened by smoke detectors and was able to exit the residence, Johnson said.
Although 12 firefighters and three trucks responded, the house was a total loss.
Johnson said the cause is undetermined at this time.
On Saturday afternoon, firefighters responded to a travel trailer fire on Clemmons Street.
Johnson said two trucks and 11 firefighters responded to extinguish the fire.
The trailer was a total loss.
No injuries were reported in either blaze.
