TRINITY — The city of Trinity will present contracts to Lake Livingston Water Supply Co. and Westwood Shores for the purchase of the city’s reserved water.

At its Thursday meeting, the council went into executive session to iron out details for the contracts, which then will be presented to the specific organizations for their approval.

In 2021, based on the work of then-Mayor Wayne Huffman and then-City Manager Steve Jones, Trinity became the “sole contracting customer” of the system, according to the Trinity River Authority website.

Trinity in turn contracts with other entities to provide drinking water.

In other business, the council:

•approved a resolution to purchase a bucket truck using American Recovery Plan Act funds. Council Member Bubba Smith voted against the purchase;

•approved the canvass of the May 4 city election, and swore in elected members;

•approved the naming of a private road in a tiny home subdivision as Lighthouse Loop;

•approved a resolution for budget amendments; and

•approved receipt of the quarterly investment report.
