The Texas Department of Public Safety investigated a crash on state Highway 150, near Farm-to-Market Road 2693, that left a Coldspring resident with serious injuries on Thursday.
The preliminary investigation indicates that at approximately 4:45 p.m. a 2000 Honda CRV was traveling east, while a 2005 Kenworth truck tractor semi-trailer was traveling west.
It is reported that the Honda crossed over into the oncoming lane and struck the Kenworth head-on.
The driver of the Honda, 24-year-old Dakotah Simpson of Coldspring, was transported to Memorial Hermann in Houston for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Kenworth, 54-year-old Prisciliano Martinez of Carolton, was transported to HCA Houston-Conroe for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
