Special to the Booster

Members of the congregation of Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Colmesneil are looking for anyone who would like to take a trip this coming October to see several interesting sights.

The eight-day, seven-night trip, which will take place Oct. 12-19, will be by way of a chartered Diamond bus. The group is looking to go to the Ark Encounter, the Creation Museum and three other events.

Kathy Harris, who is organizing the trip, said that “October is a beautiful time to see all of the changing colors of the leaves on the trees. We’d love for you to travel with us. Let’s go see the Ark!”

Harris, who can be reached by phone at 409-429-0372, said a $75 per-person deposit is required by June 12 to ensure a spot on the bus. Payment in full is required by August 5.

The cost for the trip is $1,025 per person, based on double hotel occupancy. For single occupancy, the price is $1,324 and for triple occupancy, the price per person is $1,005.

Participants will be able to ride in the Diamond motorcoach for the duration of the expedition; get seven nights of lodging, including three consecutive nights in the Cincinatti area and 12 meals – seven breakfasts and five dinners.

The admission to all of the sites is also covered in the cost. The group will travel to the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, KY, which is a repica of Noah’s Ark; the Creation Museum in Petersburg, KY and the Cotton Museum, the Kentucky Derby Museum and the National Ornamental Museum.
