Although the Coldspring-Oakhurst season did not go as deep into the playoffs as everyone was hoping it was a great season for a team with only one senior aboard.
After a warm-up game against Colmesneil, the weather took a bad turn and caused a couple of cancellations, which came in the form of a doubleheader on Saturday.
Danbury, the top seed in 3A District 24, downed Coldspring 11-2 and 4-1 on Saturday.
Head Coach Austin Riddell said, “The team was not very focused during the first part of the game and had trouble executing plays well.”
In the warmup against Colmesneil, the team won 12-6 for a win.
