Livingston Lion golf ended the state championship’s two-day event Tuesday as the seventh best team in Class 4A.

The Lions shot 50 over par at The Legends Golf Course in Kingsland, Texas, falling just three strokes short of sixth place. Brayden Akers shot a team-best 6 over par.

Bridgeport won the state championship by shooting 13 over par, winning by 18 strokes. Wimberley was the state runner-up and had the outstanding performance of the event, with Jackson Donaldson shooting 8 under par.

The state tournament is Livingston’s second in the past three years under head coach Frank Brister.
