LIBRARY REPRESENTED AT THC CONFERENCE

The Allan Shivers Library and Museum was represented at the Texas Historical Commission’s Real Places 2024 Conference in Austin last week as a Partner in Preservation. Director Kay Timme and Museum Manager Roschelle Springfield participated in a share session with 19 other groups from around the state.  Dozens of attendees and other partners stopped by the ASLM display and learned about Allan Shivers as well as the Library and Museum.  In addition, the ASLM logo was included in the Conference program and displayed during all keynote sessions.  The Conference provided a wonderful opportunity for networking and to spread the word about the ASLM and Tyler County.PHOTO COURTESY OF KAY TIMME
