The Livingston Lady Lions defeated Anahuac 11-0 for their fifth district win of the season.

The goal party was led by Veronica Villanueva, who had five on the night. Kaytlynn Shirley and

Yuri Garcia each had two goals, and Jayden Vickery and Emily Alvarado each scored once.

“A lot of holes opened up on the team from last year and several of these girls have stepped up to fill in with whatever they have been asked to do,” Livingston coach Sonya Chaka said. “I think their willingness and grit on the field is the key to their success. I am very proud of this group of ladies, because they really are something special.”
