GROVETON —Groveton ISD cosmetology students competed in the Skills USA district 7 competition this past weekend in Beaumont, bringing home several awards.

Ellorah Snowden placed first in the nail art contest, showing a lot of hard work including a written test, and then had two hours to complete the art.

Other students winning spots at state competition for their projects include Allisyn Cleaver, Adriana, Vasquez, Snowden, Stellaura Lee and Ciara To. The Skills USA state competition will be held in Corpus Christi in April.

Instructor Victoria Robertson said she is proud of her students and the hard work and time they have put into their competition and projects.
