A Corrigan-Camden ISD teacher was placed in the Polk County Jail Thursday, charged with an improper relationship with a student.
At the request of the Corrigan Police Department, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Texas Rangers assisted in the arrest of the teacher, following an investigation that began on Jan. 30 of this year.
Anthony Jernigan, 35, of Corrigan, was arrested on two charges of online solicitation of a minor, a third-degree felony, as well as three charges of an improper relationship between educator and student, a second-degree felony.
Each charge carries a $50,000 bond, for a total of $250,000. This is an ongoing investigation. Additional information was not available as of press time.
