A high school student in Polk County faces possible charges after a bomb threat Thursday in Dallardsville.

Around 3 p.m. on Thursday, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to Big Sandy ISD in reference to the threat made by a high school student.

Sheriff’s Office deputies and detectives immediately began to investigate the incident. The student was interviewed, along with school staff and the student’s parents.

After a thorough investigation, detectives deemed the threat not credible and the subject is being transported to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, where the student will be magistrated by a judge and seen by Juvenile Probation for possible charges.

At this time, there is no continued or credible threat or danger to the school, students or school staff associated with this investigation.
