Bulldogs split games

NEW SUMMERFIELD — Three of four Centerville teams logged wins facing New Summerfield on Thursday. 

For the girls, the A team won 26-0, while the B team lost 0-2.

For the boys, the A team won 34-17, and the B team won 14-0.

On Saturday, Centerville hosted its second annual Alumni basketball game, and 43 former student athletes came out for the women’s and men’s alumni games.

There was a 3-point competition before each game, and Jennie Hutchens, class of 1998, took home the title of women’s 3-point champion and Centerville’s Head Coach Geoffrey Hollis, class of 2012, took home the men’s 3-point Champion title.

The women’s white team defeated the red team 43-40, while the men’s red team defeated the white team 109-86.
