Livingston Sea Lions are excelling, qualifying

6 29 sea lions

From Enterprise Staff

The Livingston Sea Lions swim team has over 120 swimmers this year, of which 59 qualified for post-season invitationals. Those 59 swam in the Red White and Blue Invitational and one in the Ponderosa Invitational, held June 23-25 in the Cypress Springs High School Natatorium and the CyFair Natatorium.

Livingston swimmers do not have the opportunity to swim year-round or swim in a local swim club. The Sea Lions swim two months a year, working extremely hard to achieve their best swim times. These swimmers not only compete, but surpass and outswim their competitors, making them the elite, all-star swimmers of Livingston.

Micah Harrison, who will be a senior at Livingston High School this fall, qualified for the Ponderosa Invitational, one that has been in existence since 1971, and is considered the “granddaddy” of them all.
