Board to study paving

CENTERVILLE — The Centerville ISD Board of Trustees will wait for all bids before deciding on creating a fully paved parking lot.

Superintendent Mark Brown said that because of several bids not having been received, the board tabled the matter until the July meeting to make the decision.

In a separate matter, the board held a brief public hearing on Texas Association of School Boards policy changes, which include inventories, maintenance, competitive bidding, competitive sealed proposals, compensation plan, admissions and bullying.

The TASB updates align local policy with state law. Following several hearings, the board will vote on adopting the new code.
