Trinity's annual Christmas luncheon will take place on Dec. 11 at the Trinity Community Center from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. This is the first Christmas luncheon since the passing of well-known Trinity resident Lois Saldana who started the tradition years ago. Eula English Dozier is organizing the event this year, and hopes for its continued success. The luncheon is free and open to the public. Volunteers are needed to help deliver lunches to those who are sick or unable to leave their homes. Dozier is asking businesses and churches to donate to the event. Donations can be made to Community Christmas Fund at First National Bank of Trinity, Clegg DeWalt at P.O. Box 2011 Trinity, TX, or to Eula English Dozier at P.O. Box 2594 Trinity, TX. The meal will consist of green beans, mashed potatoes, turkey, dressing with gravy, cake, and tea. "Without your help and donations, we will not be able to continue this great work," Dozier said. "Your donations have been a blessing in the past, let your donations continue to be a blessing in the future. Please come out and dine with us."
