Shepherd clean-up, beautifi cation project starts April 5

SHEPHERD – Shepherd Chamber of Commerce will host its second annual Shepherd Clean Up in conjunction with the Keep Texas Beautiful Campaign on April 5. This year’s event will also include beautifi cation projects as well as picking up trash. “We’re going to plant fl owers at the four corners. We would like for residents to plant fl owers and mow their lawns as well,” said Shepherd Chamber of Commerce President Olene Reaves. Activities begin at 8 a.m. on April 5. Volunteers interested in helping should meet at the Shepherd Community Center at that time. For more information, call 936-628-3890.
