Local bank announces promotions


COLDSPRING – Chairman of the Board and CEO of The Bank of San Jacinto County Denny Clark announces four promotions within the bank. "We are thankful to be in San Jacinto County and thankful to have good people serving the community," Clark said, as he made the announcement. Senior Vice President Cindy Manthey has been promoted to president. Manthey began her banking career in 1979, joining The Bank of San Jacinto County in 1991, and has held the chief financial officer (CFO) and chief operating officer (COO) positions in addition to serving on the board of directors. Manthey is a 1995 graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. She is a graduate of Coldspring- Oakhurst High School and has served on the boards of the local area Habitat for Humanity and Lions Club organizations. Assistant Vice President Janie Goodwater has been promoted to vice president. Goodwater started her banking career in 1990 with The Bank of San Jacinto County. She started as a teller and later moved to a bookkeeping position. Goodwater has also served as a teller supervisor, loan administrator, assistant vice president and bank secrecy act (BSA) officer. Goodwater has continued to enhance her banking education and knowledge, receiving certification in banking compliance and was recently appointed compliance officer. She has called San Jacinto County her home since 1984, where she raised her three children, all graduates of Coldspring- Oakhurst Consolidated Independent School District. Assistant Vice President Brandon Wigent has been promoted to the position of vice president. Wigent graduated from Livingston High School and is a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a degree in Business Administration and Banking. He joined The Bank of San Jacinto County in 2007 and currently manages lending operations. Sherry Wolfe has recently joined The Bank of San Jacinto County as assistant vice president in charge of daily bank operations. She started her banking career in 1976 and has held various positions over the past 38 years. Wolfe currently serves as a director on the board for Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce, Healthcare Center of Southeast Texas, Cleveland Senior Citizens Organization, Cleveland Rotary Club and on various committees in the community. The Bank of San Jacinto County has served the San Jacinto County area for 51 years, celebrating their 50th year in 2013.
