At about midnight Wednesday, Livingston firefighters were called to an auto dealer's lot in the 600 block of West Church for a car fire. Livingston police responded with LVFD, and while in route, a burglary alarm was activated at an auto parts store a block away. After firefighters put out the fire, those responders and Fire Marshal Josh Mohler noticed suspicious circumstances. While Mohler surveyed the fire scene, other officers found the glass front door broken in at the auto parts store, LPD spokesman Det. Marty Drake said. When businesses along West Church St. opened for business, Sgt. Ronnie Bogany, Sgt. Scott Paske and Officer Caleb Barker and Drake walked the street speaking with owners and managers and viewing security video. "Thanks to the generosity and cooperation of those businesses, we were able to target a suspect," Drake said. As LPD was working to identify the man seen on those videos, the Polk County Sheriff 's Office called them at 3:30 Wednesday and said a man in their lobby wanted to surrender. Officers brought the man to LPD where Tyler Ray Yarbrough, 23, of Shepherd gave statements consistent with what investigators had learned about the incident. Yarbrough was arrested for arson and is being held at the Polk County Jail in lieu of $125,000 bond.
