Community Concert deadline nears


LIVINGSTON -- The annual membership drive for the Livingston Community Concert Association is now underway and will close on May 12. Those wishing to attend the four concerts planned during the 2017-18 season must be association members. No tickets will be sold at the door. Fees to join include $10 for students, $50 for adults and $110 for a family membership that admits two adults and children. Admission to all four concerts are included in each of the memberships. The concerts will once again be held in the Florence Crosby Auditorium on the campus of Livingston Intermediate School. All concerts are scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Programs scheduled for the coming season include: • The 3 Redneck Tenors on Thursday, Oct. 12, with three classically trained singers entertaining the audience with laughter and music. • Hank and My Honkytonk Heroes on Thursday, Nov. 16, a tribute to the music of Hank Williams and the musical artists who influenced him. • Tony Pace on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, in which Pace presents a combination of hilarious musical comedy, crazy characters, deadon impressions, versatile musicianship, an endless supply of explosive raw energy all wrapped around one of the most incredible, serious voices. • The Nelons on Saturday, April 21, 2018, featuring Southern Gospel music from multiple Gospel Music Association Dove Award winners. The family group performed "God Bless America:" during the Laying of the Wreath Ceremony that kicked of January's inaugural event for President Donald Trump in Washington, D.C.
