by Hale Hughes

On Tuesday, June 20 at approximately 4:30 a.m., Tyler County deputies responded in reference to a suspicious person/vehicle parked in the roadway, revving the engine of his vehicle in the Spurger area on County Road 4420. Upon arrival, deputies observed a male who identified himself as Dallas Guillory, age 29, of Spurger, walking around a Chevy truck. Guillory told Tyler County deputies that his truck had run out of gas and had two flat tires. Deputies observed in the front seat of the truck, a pipe commonly used to smoke illegal narcotics. During a search of Guillory's truck, Deputies discovered several small clear plastic baggies that contained a crystal-like substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. Guillory was promptly arrested and transported to the Tyler County Jail, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, which is a 3rd degree felony for being in possession of an illegal substance that weighed approximately 3.79 grams.
